The Sunshine Brief is an independent publication commenting on news, politics, and government written by Penn Cole.
Penn Cole is best described as a classical liberal and is a firm believer in the rule of law and individual rights, as well as most of the other pillars of the Enlightenment. He has a love-hate relationship with government. While regularly a pessimist, he maintains deep in his heart a naive optimism about the human spirit.
Penn Cole seeks to provide honest commentary on the pressing matters of the day wile providing background and context for the uninformed but curious.
The Sunshine Brief was created to be a space for thoughtful consideration of news, politics, and government with no attachment to either the left or right sides of politics.
The Sunshine Brief is small and independent and will never participate in the naked graft that is pervasive among the political commentariat.
